The teams and schedule for the pre-ICC Champions Trophy 2025 warm-up matches have been formally revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). These warm-up matches will give teams vital practice prior to the main event, which is scheduled to start in Lahore on February 19.
Only five of the eight participating teams. Pakistan, Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa, and Bangladesh, will play warm-up games. The following is the schedule for the matches:
Overview of Squads
Three different squads have been selected by the PCB to play in the warm-up matches for the Pakistan Shaheens.
Against Afghanistan (February 14)
- Shadab Khan, the captain
- Team members include: Mohsin Riaz, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir Khan, Muhammad Akhlaq, Muhammad Imran Randhawa, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Arafat Minhas, Hussain Talat, Jahandad Khan, Kashif Ali, and Abdul Faseeh.
Against New Zealand:(February 16)
- Team member: Kane Williamson’s return will be a major boost, supported by all-rounders Mitchell Santner and Rachin Ravindra.
Against South Africa (February 17)
- Captain: Mohammad Huraira
- Amad Butt, Faisal Akram, Hassan Nawaz, Imam-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Maaz Sadaqat, Mehran Mumtaz, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Niaz Khan, Qasim Akram, and Saad Khan were the squad members for the match against South Africa on
Against Bangladesh (February 17)
- Mohammad Haris, captain
- Squad: Omair Bin Yousuf, Sufiyan Moqim, Aamir Jamal, Abdul Samad, Ali Raza, Azan Awais, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Mubasir Khan, Musa Khan, Sahibzada Farhan, and Usama Mir.
Teams will have one more chance to practice their tactics and player combinations before the competition during the warm-up games. Notably, because of previous commitments in ODI series, India and a number of other nations will not play any warm-up games.
